Globen

After Karlberg Slott n the short walk around St Eriksplan n Odenplan, i took the Tunnelbana to Globen to see the big round ball.. haha.

It is actually a stadium where games such as ice hockey are played... there are shopping centres around the stadium as well, hoping to capitalise on the spectators going to watch a game..




Upon coming out of the train station, one could find touts selling tickets to a match later in Globen.. i tink there is a match between Sweden n Russia later but i dont noe wat game... a lot of ppl selling Sweden's flags n other supporters' stuff like horns , teh Viking helmet n banners n stuff like that..

Ticket touts r really everywhere.. one dont need to worry abt no tickets.. but i didnt check out the prices.. shld be more ex.. :P most of them seem to be of Middle Eastern origins from their looks.. they would walk up to u n say " Tickets?".. a very direct selling.. haha

After alighting from the Pendeltag station at Karlberg (pronouced Kao Bay.. haha sounds a bit rough), the buildings around Karlberg haha very nice..

Explore around Sundbyberg

Checked out some website that says there seems to be 70's look of Stockholm somehwere in Duvbo.. thus took the Tunnelbana over there..(one stop away) to take a look..

cant find it then anyhow walk.. then hahah walk until i saw the block i m staying in.. only then did i realise that i have walked back to Sundbyberg.. then continued to explore.. saw the Large Water Tower but unfortunately locked.. or else would be a very good view on top..

One month here liao!! Budget still pretty ok..

Yah officially i m 31 days in Sweden liao.. so = one month.. haha so far so good the budget.. i still have abt 1000kr(abt 250 Sing) left to spend in my budget for the next 30days (second month) shld be ok lah.. considering i m done with all my grocry shopping.. :p

crossed my fingers though.. haha

What I did on CNY

There r no CNY celebrations in Sweden... there is no public holiday.. but i got a project meeting and a Swedish language lesson after that at 5pm to 9pm xiong man!!.. haha ok loh... yah tahts abt it.. sounds pretty pathetic...

New Year Eve Dinner

New Year Eve, went to Lappis where there is an Asian party to celebrate CNY..
haha .. everyone brought their own dishes.. Japanese curry is damn good... the Swedish choco mousse is damn sweet n nice.. every food is good... haha my fried rice.. was finished!!.. haha too few liao then everyone tried a little bit then finsihed liao..

haha not bad at least the fried rice was finsihed.. yeh!!.. i didnt expect it to be so well eaten..

yah.. its fun. met some more singaporeans in the party.. n here is the group photo of the Singaporeans studying here.. all r staying in Lappis except me.. :(

Went IKEA again...

Went to IKEA with Eric.. We took the tunnelbana to Fruanangen.. originally planned to alight at Skarholmen... but took the wrong direction..so we reach Fruanangen.. also can.. changed to bus 173.. and then alighted a stop earlier at Heron City.. then nvm loh.. walk around this big shopping centre called Heron City.. very empty inside.. then took a picture with a big M at MacDonalds






After walking around Heron City for a while, we went on to IKEA.. a short walk away
