The long winding Fysi River separates the main tourist attractions and Uppsala university from the main Uppsala shopping street and the train station..



Uppsala Domkyrka
Uppsala Cathedral is the largest church in the Nordic countries, 118.7 meters tall and of the same length. Construction began in the 13th century and continued for about 100-150 years, at times paused. It was opened in 1435. Although the basic brick and stone construction has stood since the beginning, the roof, towers and interior has been partially destroyed by fire twice, in 1572 and in 1702.
