Wheelchair, Stroller Friendly Sweden

One thing that is very diff from Singapore abt Sweden is of its wheelchair accessibility of trains, buses and its streets... there r lifts at every train stations.. ppl with strollers n wheelchairs could get up the bus fromn the back where the door is wider.. there is a green button other than the red alighting button in the bus... that is for ppl with strollers or wheelchairs to get off... the green button is to alert the bus driver to wait a little longer than normal for them to get off..

its pretty normal to see stairs with special strollers or wheelchair friendly slope like the one in this pic below:

haha smt SIngapore only just realised with its building of lifts in MRT stations... looks like it will take soem time for our small country to catch up... i realImage hosted by Putfile.comise that i saw a lot of elderly ppl with small trolley like the one on the right.. they could sit down on it when they r tired or waiting for bus or train.. otherwise it provides them with smt to hold on to while they move abt.. it also allows them to put their shopping or other stuff on it while they move abt.. so innovative.. haha pretty cool.. anyway back to my pt... one can see ppl moving around in wheelchairs n elderly walking n taking public transport in Sweden.. a sight very much missed in Singapore ..i guess the inaccessibility of places to them discouraged from venturing out let alone try the wheelchair unfriendly buses n trains..
