Elektro!! cool.. Swedish lesson..

haha nothing much to tok abt today.. met up with LL to discuss smt abt our project presentation b4 we proceed for our Swedish course at 5pm..

BUT b4 that, we went to our fav room in KTH, the Elektro.. its smt like a student room for Engineering students.. diff departments have their own rooms all accessible by a encoded card that each student possess..

The part of the room that i like best is this snack corner.. i would often come down here to grab a quick snack when i m hungry..

Prices for the snacks.. 5kr(abt S$1.25) for a Snicker Bar.. quite reasonable..

U can pay for the snacks by putting yer money in this "cash box" .. u handle yer own change yerself.. there r no cashiers around..

Beside this sweets corner, tehre is a big fridge with pizzas n other micro-wavable food items..

A piece of pizza slice costs 13kr.. also pay the money to a box in the fridge..

On the other side of the sweets corner, there is a drinks fridge, for this u have to slot in coins like a vending machine to get the drink u want..
By its side, there is another fridge containing stuff like chocolate wafers n other cold snacks..

there is a table soccer machine here in this room as well.. at times, the ppl playing this machine r really very violent, u can be assured that its not a peaceful n quiet sight when they play.. they just get so animated at times..

Tables in the room for studying, eating lunch or just chilling out..

There is also a kitchen here.. from wat LL told me is that a Swedish student told her that its a very Swedish way to prepare yer own lunch n bring it to this room to heat it up by microwave oven.. which pretty much make sense in terms of economics.. a lunch at the sch restaurant costs abt 60 kr (S$15).. There r cupboards with plates n utensils inside for yer own usage.. jsu tensure u wash it after use..

After this short phototaking session in Elektro, we proceeded to our Swedish lesson nearby..
It feels so good to be back with this teacher (Ms Berit). COmpared to last week makeup lesson on Monday, i feel so relaxed in this lesson even though i havent done any of the homeowrk assigned.. i tink we r suppsoed to read the txtbks or smt like that.. but haha i just figure out along the way lah..
Ms Berit will at times suddenly tok abt her daughter in Australia.. there is this concept of "ex jobb" which is the equipvalent of master thesis writing in Swedish university.. they treat this thesis writing as smt like a full time job instead of studying so Berit was spending like 15+ minutes trying to define wat is "ex jobb" then she will tok abt her daughter doing this in Australia.. n how much she miss her n that her daughter loves Australia's temperature at 31 degree celsius compared to the cold Stockholm at minus 5 to 8 degree celsius..
Then at one pt when she is teaching abt how to say grnadparents, parents, cousins in Swedish.. basically abt family members.. quite interesting..
Farmor - Father's mother
Farfar - Father's father
Mormor - Mother's mother
Morfar - Mother's father
Barn - child
Barnbarn - children's child --> grandchildren
then she start digressing.. alto she is speaking in Swedish, i seem to catch her words a bit.. she seem to be toking abt her barnbarn making her husband a card.. with glitter n glue n stuff , making a big heart shaped card for him.. spending like 4-5 hrs.. n she is so envious that her husband gets it.. n her barnbarn promise to make one for her.. n she is very much looking forward to it..

so tired after this Swedish lesson that i went back to fried some rice.. then did my ppt slides for tomolo presentation.. n fell asleep like a log at 11am.. have to clear those food in the fridge taht r expiring in March since i wont be in Stockholm for the most of March...
