Day 4: Paris: Artists' Corner, Eiffel Tower..

LL had her own room n bed in Weizhe's place.. Weizhe is SC's friend who we r staying with in Paris..

This is due to a leaking heater..

This morning, i will be cooking pasta!!.. but today is with some chicken n mushroom sauce i tink.. yesterday was bolongnase by LL..


After brunch, we set off for another day of Paris touring.. we went straight to the street of lotsa of souvenior shops.. its just across the river from Notre Dame..
I saw this painting that i like a lot.. but didnt buy..

Along the river, there r a lot of stalls set up to see those art pieces n other art stuff.. this tradition of selling art by the river of Notre Dame church had been going for centuries.. The stalls could be folded up easily when its closed..


After settling souveniors, we proceeded straight to the Garden that SC recommended us to take a look.. we passed by the Pantheon.. This is where some famous ppl were buried i tink n there is a pendulum inside.. (dont noe for wat scientific reason.. no time n entrance fee involved.. so we just skipped it)..

We proceeded straght to the garden.. very crowded place.. a lot of ppl just chilling out n lazing around in deck chairs..

Clean up yer dog's shit!! It can be pretty annoying when u see dog poo all around.. inconsiderate idiots who dont clean up after their dogs..

We passed by a church en route to the Metro station..


On the Metro, we were bored so we took some pictures.. haha
The complicated Metro lines.. there r 14 lines in Paris.. super complicated..

Foldable chairs.. for ppl to use when there r no more seats.. saves space since could be folded up when train is crowded..

U will turn into a rabbit when yer hand gets trapped.. (Corny joke i noe.. haha)

We reached Abbesses.. hoping to use our ticket to get up the Funiculaire like we always do.. its a weekday so we dont have our weekend tickets just normal ticket.. we thot we could use the ticket that we used just now for Metro to get up but turns out NO.. aiyah..


Watch out for these buggers.. They r different from the Bling Bling guys at Eiffel.. they r not trying to sell u things, they will try to get very close to u n try to convince u to let them tie a string on yer hand n then demand money from u.. dont even let them get close to u n walk away as far as possible from them..

Since our tickets cant be used for the Funiculaire.. we climb stairs loh..

Looks like the Taj Mahal.. the Sacred HEart cathehdral..

St Peter inside the cathehedral.. note that the statue's toe markings on the right leg r gone n the right feet had totally changed in color.. its said that when believers touch his feet, all their sins will be erased.. that explains the change in color.. haha

We were not supposed to take pictures in the cathehedral because there is a service going on.. the security ppl r very strict.. he would shout at ppl to not take pictures..


LL took this picture while i blocked the view of the guard.. we sat down at the back pretending to be listening to the service.. haha it was a good partnership because all the tourists around us were scolded for trying to take pictures.. we were very lucky.. haha


At the foot of the hill.. there is smt like this (i forgot wat this thing is called..)


LL has a weakness for pastries.. so when she saw a pastry shop.. thats it..

We went to a MacDonald to use its toilets.. cool.. haha.. its free
We noticed smt unique.. iPods for the customers to use while their meals..



After this, we proceeded to Arc D Triumph..


We then proceeded to the middle of the road where there r some space for ppl to wait to take some more pics of this Arc..





After we left, we saw that there is a large group of ppl who seem to be queuing up to take pictures in the middle of the road (probably inspired by us).. its very scary to stand in the middle as cars zoom by u very fast..

After this, we went back home.. we presented WZ with a bar of chocolate that we bought for him as a gift of appreciation..

The next morning, we left very early for our flight to Berlin by Easyjet..
