My hair was so damn disgustingly long.. (at least for my standard) wanted to cut it in Sweden but it was way too expensive.. (abt 20-30 Sing dollars).. back home in Singapore, it costs me at most 10 Sing dollars.. haha was planning to cut in Czech Republic where ppl say things there r cheap.. but since there is a hair salon just next to the place we lived in Paris.. might as well.. it costs me 8 Euros (17 Sing bucks).. but its not bad lah.. haha told SC to tell the barber to cut very short.. (they dont speak English, only French).. SC even taught me how to say cut shorter in French in case not short enuff.. but i forgotten wat is it now.. There was hair washing n shampooing.. (smt new for me.. never gotten my hair by other ppl b4) n the resultant hair cut wasnt that bad.. he even gelled my hair up for me.. haha.. nice.. n I can tell my ppl i had cut my hair in Paris (the most stylish city in the world) b4.. haha but omit the fact that it was being cut by an Arab in some suburbs..

Inside the Louvre musuem.. SC told us that there was a movie made abt a group of guys who tried to finish the Louvre.. wat they did is that they ran from exhibit to exhibit in a touch n go manner n they managed to cover it in 4 minutes.. i wonder how they did it.. its such a super big museum.. i tink i need at least 2 days..

This is the exhibit for Napoleon's apartment.. i tink its diff from the one at Versailles..

This is the one of the most famous painting gallery.. There is this big long floor which is just for paintings n another one just for sculptures n another one for dont noe wat exhibits. just madness.. too many things here.. ok the ticket for this museum is worth it.. 8.50 Euros.. compared to the stupid Van Gogh musuem..

Painting of a corridor or smt like that.. (looks pretty real) n yah one thing best abt this musuem is u can get take pictures!!.. the stupid Van Gogh musuem forbade us from doing so..

Taking the module of "Making the Modern World" in NUS was very useful.. opened up my persepective of the world n history.. that module gave me quite a lot of ideas of where to go in Europe.. since we studied some history of European development from 1500s onwards in that module.. a lot of things looked pretty familiar to me around here like this self potrait here.. i remembered the lecturer saying that in self potraits of that era of 17th or 18th century, the ppl drawn looked more like humans compared to those b4 the Renaissance period of 1500s.. n that in self portraits, the background consists mainly of Nature.. becos ppl then r very much in awe of the power of Nature n stuff like that..

After a while, i looked at the time.. n decided this is not the way.. its impossible to see most of Louvre at our speed.. we have only covered abt less than 1/4 n musuem is closing in 2 hours time..
Thus, LL n I adopted a touch n go method to try to cover as much ground as possible..
First step: look out for paintings with the Earphone symbol means the audio guide covers this part.. (we didnt rent the audio guide.. too ex) the audio guide sign means this painting is impt n good enuff to be mentioned in the guide.. so must take note..

Second step: Take a picture with the painting for memorabilia sake.. haha

Third step: Take the reading material (if available) n take a picture of it (not enuff time to read, go back home then read on computer)

Repeat Steps 1 -3 til the end of the musuem.. haha

There r quite a number of paintings of nude women.. For the paintings of this period from the 18th century onwards, they seem to like to expose only one of their breasts.. seldom both.. haha ok loh

Mona Lisa frenzy.. at the Mona Lisa picture.. everyone is like crowding n flashing it with their cameras like nobody's bizness.. SC speculated that this painting could be a fake since the musuem would not bear to let the real Mona Lisa be damaged by all the flashings of stupid tourists..
Its rather anti climax.. this is the highlight of the museum.. the Mona Lisa.. n its just such a small painting being crowded around by the mad camera toting, flash crazy crowd...

LL's pic of the Mona Lisa.. (no flash) but i tink she took like 10 pictures of that painting.. sometimes flashing it.. haha
