More Yellow House n Pathetic Northern Lights n 1300kr Dog Sledding Trip!!

We reached Kiruna at abt 3-4pm on 29th Jan after departing from Stockholm at abt 9pm on 28th Jan.. now after a night rest, we r off for our 1300kr Dog Sledding Trip from the 30th Jan to 31st Jan!!.. yeh..

Ohya forgot to mention that we saw some Northern Lights.. i emphasize the word "some" basically jsut some green stripes across the sky.. quite pathetic.. but better tahn nothing lah..

We tried to wait for more Northern Lights outside.. by playing Bridge.. its terrible.. i wasnt tinking .. just anyhow throw cards..

luckily after one round, we quit.. or else i freeze to ice cube liao..

ok thats abt all for the nite, the next morning we woke up n packed the room (the reception guy demanded it or else have to pay cleaning fee i tink)

We have to bring our own bed sheets or else have to pay 50kr for the bed sheet.. the bed is alrite lah..the blanket also quite warm...

Henrik the guy who started this tour... with him is Dom, i tink to Henrik, he is pretty irritating.. hahah ..




He drove us to the middle of the forest with another guy who is supposed to be our tour guide.. over there, he has a trailer with all the dog sledding equipment n of course the dogs...

The snowmobile which will carry all our stuff n clear the route for the dogs to pull the sleds..


We were provided with waterproof pants.. n here we have a very colorful combi..

And after some very strict rules abt how we shld handle the dogs.. like the driver will have to keep his/her eyes on the line between the 5 dogs to ensure it is not entangled with the dogs or else the dogs may get hurt..

we r supposed to drive the dog sled ourselves for abt 10km.. for abt 2hrs.. we cant accelerate the dogs.. just slow them down with a brake pedal which will slow down the sled so the dogs will feel the pull back n slow down..

We were made to handle the dogs ourselves.. fixed the sled.. everything DIY.. n the dogs poo n peee everywhere so very stinky..

After everything is done.. here we go..






After reaching the destination, we tied the dogs to a long line so that they can rest n have their meal n be ready for the trip back for the next group of tourist..

After this, we trudged our way thru the thick snow.. (up to knee level) to the Lappish Hut where we will stay for the nite.. btw this area up north is called Lapland.. thus the hut we r staying is called Lappish hut.. supposedly the Lappish ppl stay like this..
